This half term come and celebrate a Crocklebog birthday in style at BeWILDerwood, the curious treehouse adventure park in Norfolk.

Birthday girl Minty – BeWILDerwood’s naughtiest, greenest Crocklebog – is the inspiration for the party fun and games taking place from Saturday 29th to Monday 31st May.

With tonnes of mystical merriment, games and storytelling at 1.30pm, there’s sure to be lots of fun for the whole family. Bluebells blossom at BeWILDerwood

BeWILDerwood, the curious treehouse adventure park in Norfolk, is launching a new ‘sponsored’ bluebell wood, a peaceful and colourful area just by the park, to raise funds for the Three Rivers Way Association.

The Association was set up in 2008 to promote the creation of a shared use pathway, named the Three Rivers Way, for walking, cycling and mobility vehicles along the route of the A1062 from Hoveton to Potter Heigham.  The Three Rivers Way will link communities along the route and encourage active travel, sustainable tourism and outdoor exercise.

BeWILDerwood Climbs to the Treetops to Reach National Awards

BeWILDerwood, the curious treehouse adventure park, is the only Norfolk attraction to have been shortlisted to receive either a Gold or Silver Award in the Large Visitor Attraction category of the national finals of the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence.

BeWILDerwood, the curious treehouse adventure park in Norfolk, has beaten off stiff competition from some of the region’s top tourist attractions to win an East of England Tourism Award for Excellence in the Large Visitor Attraction category.

Norfolk 'Quest Seekers' book in for medal presentation

The 2009 Summer Reading Challenge, organised by The Reading Agency and Norfolk County Council’s Library and Information Service, is the 11th annual challenge.  Children all over Norfolk are invited to visit their local library and embark on a fantastical adventure to become a ‘Quest Seeker’.  Children who take part will enjoy a three staged challenge receive a poster, stickers and some great books to borrow over the summer holidays.  

To celebrate completing the Reading Quest, children are invited to come along to a BeWILDerwood storytelling event, where they will hear the adventures of Swampy and his weird and wonderful friends from the magical world of BeWILDerwood on Saturday 12th September from 11am to 12 noon at Wroxham Library.

Twiggletastic Twiggle tales & new trail for August bank holiday

BeWILDerwood, the curious treehouse adventure park, is holding a traditional mid-summer ‘Twiggle’ fayre on August 15th and 16th that will be packed with fun, games and excitement for all the family.

Called BeWILDerfayre, the event will feature colourful bunting and a whole host of fantastic traditional games such as hook-a-duck, chuck-a-hoop, lucky dip, and loads of other games to play. Rotary kids choose running wild in BeWILDerwood for their special day

The Rotary KidsOut National Day Out is the largest single day out for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK, and this year, three Norfolk schools have chosen BeWILDerwood as their special day out on Wednesday 10th June 2009.
Over 28,000 children from all over the country take part, thanks to over 750 Rotary Clubs throughout Great Britain and Ireland who work with local schools and special groups to make this happen!
The day, traditionally the middle Wednesday in June, involves over 100 venues and more than 1,700 volunteers who ensure the day is as special as it is memorable.

Beat Officer helps race to save lives

London Marathon runner Lucy Collyer, 42, normally treads a rural beat in her role as a police community support officer with the Stalham Safer Neighbourhood team in Norfolk.

But Mrs Collyer left her Wroxham amd Hoveton patch to successfully pound 26 miles around the capital to raise money for a third defibrillator for emergency volunteers with the Wroxham and Hoveton First Responders group.

During the Easter holidays two First Responders, Mrs Webster and colleague Kate Smith both impressed BeWILDerwood staff when they were both on the scene less than five minutes after a phone call from the ambulance service to say that a visitor had been taken ill. They monitored the pensioner’s heart rate and oxygen levels and kept her comfortable until an ambulance arrived...

Easter Bonanza for Norfolk's booming industry

Norfolk’s booming according to top tourist attractions and holiday parks as visitor numbers have seen remarkable increases this Easter compared to last year.

Recession is BOOM BOOM BOOM for treehouse adventure park

The tightening grip of the recession certainly isn’t affecting Norfolk’s famous treehouse adventure park, BeWILDerwood, according to a bumper half-term weekend which saw the park smash last year’s visitors numbers.

The wooded wonderland located near Wroxham, welcomed over 1,200 visitors through its doors last weekend, doubling the figure that the park received on the same weekend in 2008. And this continued into Monday when it welcomed an incredible 1,100 visitors through its doors compared to the 500 that it welcomed on the same day in 2008.

Coltishall Primary School Launches New Library

Coltishall Primary School is launching a brand new jungle themed library on Tuesday 24th March at 9am and local children’s author, Tom Blofeld, has been asked to mark the opening with storytelling from his latest epic, “The BeWILDerbats”, tales of a gang of naughty bats locally based at BeWILDerwood in Hoveton.
